Story

Tabi is the result of a cross between three varieties: Typica, Bourbon, and Timor Hybrid (resistant to coffee rust).
The name "Tabi" comes from the Guambiano indigenous language of Cauca and means "good practices." This reflects both its connection to Colombia's cultural roots and its purpose of promoting sustainability in coffee production.

Key Characteristics

• Resistance: Thanks to the Timor Hybrid, the Tabi variety is resistant to coffee rust, one of the main threats to coffee plantations.
• Cup Quality: Inheriting traits from Typica and Bourbon, it maintains excellent cup quality with flavor profiles often noted for their sweetness, bright acidity, and fruity or floral notes.
• Productivity: Although it is not the most productive compared to other commercial varieties, its focus is on quality and sustainability.
